1. Summary
ScrapCoin ($SCRAP) is a utility token on the Solana blockchain that serves as the currency of Rust game servers. Players earn it by playing, spend it in an in-game player market and on server perks, and can move it to a personal wallet at any time.
The supply is fixed at 10,000,000,000 $SCRAP. The mint and freeze authorities are revoked, so no coins can be added and no holder can be frozen. ScrapCoin launched on the Rust Insomnia 3x server and is designed to expand to partner servers.
2. The problem
Rust is built around wipes: every few weeks the map resets and everything a player built is gone. That is part of the game, but it also means hours of play leave nothing behind. Trading between players happens in chat, without trust or a shared currency, and server shops are disconnected from anything outside the server.
ScrapCoin gives every hour of play a lasting value. Players keep a balance that survives wipes, trade safely through an escrowed market, and own what they earn.
3. How ScrapCoin works
3.1 Earning
- Play-to-earn: active playtime pays 1 $SCRAP per hour (current rate). Idle time does not count. Payouts are credited every 15 minutes.
- Trading: players list items in the market and are paid in $SCRAP when another player buys them.
The earn rate is a server setting. It is published, and any change will be announced in advance.
3.2 Spending
- Player market: list items from your inventory. They are held in escrow until sold, so neither side can be scammed. Opened in game with
/shopor on the web store. - Server products: VIP and other perks.
A 10% fee on market sales goes to the treasury. This recycles coins back into rewards instead of creating new ones.
3.3 Wipes
Balances, wallet links and undelivered purchases survive every wipe. Unsold market listings are wiped with the map, like everything else in Rust.
3.4 Withdrawing and depositing
- Players link a Solana wallet (we recommend Phantom) to their Steam account.
- Withdraw: the amount is taken off the in-game balance first, checked by an admin, and then sent on-chain to the linked wallet. The wallet needs a $SCRAP token account once, costing about 0.002 SOL in refundable rent.
- Deposit: sending $SCRAP from the linked wallet to the game wallet is detected automatically after finalisation and credited to the player's balance.
4. Custody & security
Inside the game, balances are kept in a server ledger, like a bank account. This makes trades instant and free. On-chain, the coins backing those balances sit in a game wallet whose address is public, so anyone can compare it with the total of player balances.
- The game wallet only holds what players have deposited plus the play-to-earn budget released to it. It never holds the long-term allocations.
- Its signing key is stored encrypted on the server and never shown.
- Withdrawals can be limited per player and per day, and large ones require manual approval.
- Every ledger change is recorded with a reason, and the ledger is designed so that the same deposit can never be credited twice.

6. Allocation & vesting
The full supply was minted to the founder wallet at launch and divided on 10 October 2026 into the shares below, each with a single purpose. Every locked share sits in its own public Streamflow time-release contract that nobody can cancel, pause, re-route or speed up, so the release schedule is enforced on-chain and anyone can verify it.
| Share | % | $SCRAP | Release |
|---|---|---|---|
| Play-to-earn rewards | 40% | 4,000,000,000 | Linear release over ~5 years to the game wallet |
| Expansion & partner servers | 15% | 1,500,000,000 | Every 30 days for 24 months, into the team multisig |
| Reserve | 15% | 1,500,000,000 | Locked 12 months, then into the team multisig |
| Liquidity | 10% | 1,000,000,000 | In the Raydium SCRAP/SOL pool; pool tokens locked forever |
| Marketing & community | 10% | 1,000,000,000 | Every 30 days for 18 months, into the team multisig |
| Team | 10% | 1,000,000,000 | Nothing for 12 months, then every 30 days for 24 months |
Shares that need to stay flexible (expansion, reserve and marketing) are released into a Squads multisig wallet that needs two team signatures for every transfer.
7. Liquidity
A public SCRAP/SOL pool on a Solana exchange lets anyone swap between $SCRAP and SOL, for example through Jupiter in the Phantom app.
- The pool is seeded from the 10% liquidity share.
- The pool tokens are locked or burned, so the liquidity cannot be withdrawn by the team.
- The pool address and proof of the lock are on the transparency page.
Status: live since 10 October 2026. The Raydium pool G8XCkdD8deBVMNtcX6EUkKqFKhngx8dLTRUGmWZXtT72 opened with 978,229,000 $SCRAP and 10 SOL. All of its pool tokens are locked forever in Raydium Burn & Earn; the team keeps only the right to collect trading fees. Live prices are on the home page and DexScreener.
8. Sustainability
A play-to-earn coin only lasts if coins leave circulation as well as enter it. ScrapCoin balances both sides:
- Coming in: playtime rewards, capped by the vesting schedule of the rewards share.
- Going out: VIP and perk purchases, plus the 10% market fee, flow back to the treasury and fund future rewards.
- Anti-farming: only active play earns; withdrawals can carry a waiting period and daily limits; large withdrawals are reviewed.
- Adjustable rates: the earn rate can be tuned to the size of the player base. Changes are announced in advance.
9. Partner servers
ScrapCoin is built to run on more than one server. The same balance follows a player across every ScrapCoin server. The expansion share funds partner onboarding and their players' rewards, so new servers can offer play-to-earn from day one without buying coins first.
10. Roadmap
- Launch (live): token minted with authorities revoked; play-to-earn, market, perks and on-chain withdrawals on our 3x server.
- Trust & liquidity (now): website, whitepaper and transparency page; allocation wallets and vesting locks; SCRAP/SOL pool with locked liquidity.
- Partner servers: a drop-in kit for other Rust servers with shared balances.
- Wider reach: price-tracker listings, community seasons and events, and more ways to spend $SCRAP.
11. Risks
- Price: once tradable, the value of $SCRAP is set by the market and can fall to zero.
- Liquidity: a small pool means large trades move the price a lot.
- Platform rules: game publishers and storefronts can change their rules for servers and in-game economies at any time, which could limit how ScrapCoin is used.
- Technical: smart contracts, wallets, RPC providers and servers can fail or be attacked. Never share your seed phrase; we will never ask for it.
- Regulation: rules for crypto-assets differ by country and are changing, including the EU's MiCA regulation.
12. Legal notice
